| This is where it all started! I developed
a strong curiosity for bellydance around the time my first son
was born.
I was smitten with sparkly costumes, jingling bells, and flying
veils. I started making my own silk veils to dance with
and soon had a few dancers who were interested in having me
make some for them as well.A decade later and the dyeing of
silk veils has spread to dance skirts and many other non-dance
related items. But it all started with the movement and
colors of silk.
The unique color schemes dyed in an ombre
pattern on the veils quickly became the signature style of
A'Kai Silks. The colors continue to evolve.
